Floridsdorf - a growing district?
Floridsdorf (the 21st district of Vienna), situated in the north of Vienna on the left bank of the Danube, covers about one tenth of the total area of Vienna. Although the district has been used intensively as an industrial and housing location for a long time, some areas in the north and east are still available for more intensive housing developments. The population growth in the district is due to a positive birth record, on the one hand and a slightly positive balance from residents of Vienna moving to or from the district, on the other hand.
